Year 2025 is approaching, bringing with it associated changes in legislation regarding the collection, sorting, and recycling of textiles. According to available information, this change will include not only municipalities but also manufacturers, distributors, and sellers of clothing, textiles, and footwear. According to statements from the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and a study commissioned by it, textile manufacturers and importers will have to fulfill extended producer responsibility (EPR), which we already know from packaging products, electrical equipment, and other products introduced by manufacturers to the market of the Slovak Republic.
