SATEX at the Circular Economy 2025 conference

At the 6th annual international conference Circular Economy 2025 Conference, held on April 29–30, 2025, at Hotel Saffron, SATEX Slovensko delivered an expert presentation titled “Textile Reuse vs. Obligations Related to Textile Waste.”

The presentation focused on current challenges and opportunities in the collection, sorting, and processing of used textiles, particularly in the context of upcoming legislative obligations, extended producer responsibility, and ESG reporting requirements.

Current Topics in the Circular Economy

The conference featured numerous expert discussions focused on current trends and solutions in the field of the circular economy. The main topics included:

  • innovative solutions in PET recycling,

  • the current state of European plastics legislation,

  • circular economy practices in the production of construction materials,

  • Tesco’s packaging strategy,

  • alternative methods for processing mixed municipal waste and bio-waste.

Participants also showed strong interest in the expert lecture “Textile Waste – What to Do With It?”, presented by Ing. Marcela Hricová, PhD. from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Cooperation as the Foundation of Sustainable Solutions

SATEX Slovensko’s participation in the conference confirmed the growing importance of cooperation between industrial partners, academia, and local governments in implementing circular economy principles.
